Here’s a screenshot of a website for Windows XP:

Trojan in Windows XP

(Trojan in Windows XP.)

There is an animation of a Windows scanning utility discovering lots of trojan, an anti-spyware tool would be offered at the end. It tricks users into install something that they claim secure.

Here’s the same website in Ubuntu with the same animation:

The screenshot would probably look realistic to a naive Windows XP user. And when you install the additional checking tool, who knows, you may end up with a virus.

I tried installing it in Ubuntu and couldn’t. Me sad.

[Thanks Irene for showing me the site.]

So that’s a word? Anyway, “chinese puzzle” means “A very intricate puzzle or problem.”

Count how many Java are there in the Java homepage!

Java all over

Not few as you can see. You see that girl on the left? She’s probably from Java too. Sun Microsystem’s NASDAQ ticker is JAVA too. There’re 16 Javas in the picture.

Java + KahWee = Unhappy

Sorry Java fans.

How many Javas in just one screenshot? (To be sung in the tune of How much is the doggie in the windows?)

Okay I was a little bored so I took a screenshot. I heard about Lynx but never knew what’s it really for. Running my blog in Lynx looked like this:

justrealized-in-lynx-1

And yes my messy archive.

justrealized in lynx 2

It’s still usable I guess. I tried on Gmail and it didn’t appear to work, probably all the JavaScript.

Okay, back to work.

Opera 9.5 is out! You can download it here.

Opera 9.5 screenshot

Opera has been my main browser since 4 years ago. It’s the underdog of browser wars. It’s quick and light-weight but give web designers more problems with more browsers to support. But I just love the speed Opera offers.

Today I use Firefox 3 Release Candidate 2 and I’m loving it more, thanks to the Firebug and Delicious plug ins. I was previously using Apple Safari but it crashed quite often and cannot open that many tabs.

I, by the way, open around 30 tabs. I’ll just leave interesting links there on my browser until I am free to take a look at them. And I always feel sad when my browser crash and I lost all my links and have to reopen them again.
