We were walking out of the Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ school. He needs a cigarette.

“Finally visited a girl’s school,” he announced.

“Yeah, is that in your things-to-do-before-I-die checklist too?”

He laughed, “Yeah, finally… Finally the day has come.”

“Checked.”

“Yup, checked.”

Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School (Secondary) (Abbreviation: PLMGSS) is an all-girls school located in Hougang, Singapore, running on a single session catering to pupils in the Special, Express, Normal Academic and Normal Technical streams, hence fulfilling its mission of opening its doors to the very able as well as the less able. Since 1995, PLMGSS has been offering Higher Chinese (HCL) to her pupils. There are 61 teachers, 80% of whom are committed Christians. Approximately 25% are old girls, a special feature of the school. Erm, what are old girls by the way? Or is that one of those Wikipedia nonsense.

There’re times when one wishes so hard for a sign. I wished for it and it was revealed to me via a re-Captcha:

Captcha that says studying not

Ah… Now I see my future a lot clearer. Thanks re-Captcha.

Having Posts cereal, banana nut crunch and milk for supper. Kinda hungry suddenly. I have to do math unfortunately. I don’t know what I am doing half the time but well… No choice.

Tomorrow is math exam already; wish me luck.

Ahh… My math test is tomorrow and I don’t think I can finish studying it. I am picking questions to study already, even then I am not able to do the workings fast enough. Stressed onion emoticon

I guess I probably won’t do well in math. Probably a pass since it’s actually pretty hard to fail. You have to try really really hard to fail an exam at my university. The passing grade is 35 I think. Someone lecturer even told me it’s 30. I think they set the standards too low already. I guess they want everyone to pass.

Was at the fruit stall today. But they didn’t have avocado drink today so I had Subway instead.

I sort of forget that there’s a math exam tomorrow. I think I must have been totally blur or something. I met Anne-marie just now and she was telling me about math this and that. And then she made a mention on examinations tomorrow.

I was like, “huh? is tomorrow?”

I was feeling panicky after realizing the mistake. I went for a haircut and decide to have something really light and study. Okay, no avocado drink so no choice, I had to eat Subway ’cause they had this discount going on. I just had to.

Now I’m too full. Maybe I’ll go bathe first or something. No post for the rest of the day!

Things aren’t going that smoothly again. Even learning seemed a little harder. I’ve been reading more on my studies this couple of days. Computer architecture’s not the thing for me, I don’t like the diagrams, the length explanations and the nonsensical abbreviations.

I spend a good amount of time disliking it. Think about it:

  • I complained to friends about it even though they can’t help.
  • I closed websites that have computing information 2 minutes after I look at them.
  • Spend a night pretending I am reading about RAM when my mind is just thinking about something else…
  • Writing this blog entry

Oh, here’s some ram:

I like the one bending down. Bah… (Source: Wikipedia)

But all this time spend on complaining brought me no where. It only bring me more misery. Eventually, as the exam nears, I still sit down, open my book or browser and started reading (rather unwillingly). Things get along okay, got a little better. I can’t say I understand RAM still, I still think about sheep when I read RAM but at least things are moving along. At least I can say I learnt something at the end of the day.

Sometimes I wish someone could just explain these stuff to me. But everyone’s busy, and if you look at things from a different perspective, it may also mean there is no one who would prioritize me over their work.

Sometimes lectures can be rather boring…
