I just want to say that I feel a little sense of achievement after knowing that there are at least 1000 tags with more than 2 posts in it. Previously I had so many tags with just one post in them. This makes me a little happier and I don’t know why. You can view my archives here.
I am beginning to believe that 256 MB of RAM is insufficient for running a couple of blogs. It manages to run 2 months before something occurs. I’m fine with this failure rate I guess. But I never dared to run things other than PHP stuff. I think I would consider an upgrade in 6 months.
I’m a little happy, a little sad too. Basically this blog has the first stream of spam. Now I have 2 spammers per day, previously it was 0. (Then again, the only one blogging and commenting probably is just me so an improvement I guess.) I felt rather encouraged having to log in spotting spam; reason being that it is getting a little popular than last month.
I have a dream that one day this blog will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. I have a dream that my little children will one day read a blog where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
Okay that was just slotting “blog” to the speech by Martin Luther King, Jr..
For the month of December, I earn 88 US cents. That’s 4.4% the cost of my 20 USD web host. Last month (November) I earn 1.10 USD which is slightly better. But what I notice is that page impressions increase from 1700 to 2300 which made me slightly happy. Hopefully one I could offset the entire cost of hosting in Slicehost. Perhaps a year later.
Great new for WordPress users, 2.7 is now out. Coltrane is one of jazz’s greatest. 2.7 does not fall (too) short. It loads faster and the edit and reply in place features are great.
