if zelaya had his way he would have dissolved congress and our consitution and then he would be making a coup de tat. And where would be the civil liberties of all the people then? He would reign supreme and make us a cuba. F him. If we have to endure criticism from the international community for their lack of knowledge so be it. When we have elections in November all will return to normal. To hell with Communism. To hell with Chavez!

honduras and don’t know how bad this president was. This is not a Coup as all powers of state, legislative, judicial and executive are still there. Only zelaya was impeached.

We Honduras hate communism and he was leading our country to become another cuba/venezuela. you sit there comfortable in Vancouver you have no knowledge the suffering this man was causing. The only people that supported him were either communist, payed or forced to support them.

I am from vancouver,canada and i don’t agree with the new president of Honduras.He is a traitor to the people of Honduras.The people of Honduras should fight to the death to get rid of him.There is no other president of central or south america that agrees with this atrocity.Roberto Micheletti should be tried in court for treason and excuited.Central and south america got several good govs.They should do whatever is necessary to get rid of this new gov. of Honduras.

Nosotros no uno no ni dos sino miles de hondureños, no levantaremos la voz GRITAREMOS para ser escuchados para poder tener derecho a elegir NUESTRO FUTURO, para poder ser parte de esto que los medios internacionales han TERGIVERSADO, a esto que los medios internacionales han manejado a su antojo, a continuación explicaremos desde adentro del país lo que ante nuestros ojos ha sucedido esto a lo cual APOYAREMOS HASTA EL CANSANCIO.
Como es sabido la madrugada del día de ayer fue depuesto el que entonces era el presidente constitucional de la República de Honduras la mayor parte de medios internacionales manejando y transmitiendo información ERRONEA. Lo que sucedió no es un Golpe de Estado y tampoco es un rompimiento del orden constitucional, lo que realmente sucedió fue la expresión de un pueblo cansado de aguantar las barbaries a las que por 3 años fuimos sometidos, lo que el ex-presidente quería realizar era una consulta a la que él llamaba “encuesta” lo cual ninguna ley hondureña lo permite, ya que los únicos mecanismos de consulta permitidos por nuestra Constitución y nuestras leyes son el Plebiscito y el Referéndum. Por esta y otras razones la “encuesta” tras fallo de la CORTE SUPREMA DE JUSTICIA y del TRIBUNAL SUPREMO ELECTORAL fue declarada ilegal.
Esto origino una crisis política y tras semanas y semanas de dialogo nacional el ex presidente de la Republica no cedió en sus ideas de CONSUMAR EL ACTO ILEGAL dando órdenes a las Fuerzas Armadas de Honduras de respaldar y colaborar en este evento al que las Fuerzas Armadas de Honduras en un acto valiente ESTUVO SIEMPRE EN PRO DE LA DEFENSA DE LA CONSTITUCIÓN DE LA REPÚBLICA Y DEL ORDEN CONSTITUCIONAL DEL PAÍS, esto genero como consecuencia la destitución del GENERAL ROMEO VASQUÉS VELÁSQUEZ por no querer cumplir una orden ILEGAL, destitución que tras fallo de la Corte Suprema de Justicia fue restablecido en su puesto ya que fue destituido de manera ILEGAL violentando LAS LEYES MILITARES HONDUREÑAS.
Por último el señor ex presidente ante la desesperación y viendo que el tiempo se le agotaba publico a espaldas de la Corte Suprema de Justicia y el Congreso Nacional y violando el articulo #4 de la Constitución de la Republica -“La forma de gobierno es republicana, democrática, y representativa se ejerce por TRES PODERES DEL ESTADO: Legislativo, Ejecutivo y Judicial. Estos tres poderes son COMPLEMENTARIOS E INDEPENDIENTES sin relaciones de subordinación, la alterabilidad en el ejercicio de la presidencia de la republica es OBLIGATORIA la infracción de esta norma constituye DELITO de TRAICION A LA PATRIA”- Publico un artículo en el diario oficial La Gaceta (en Honduras una ley es vinculante hasta que se le da publicación en este diario oficial), donde cambiaba las reglas del juego, es decir, la famosa encuesta, ya no era una ENCUESTA. Ya no era si queríamos instaurar una 4ta urna en la que se preguntaría si estábamos de acuerdo a llamar una Asamblea Nacional Constituyente, sino mas bien se preguntaba si estábamos de acuerdo en que se realizara una Asamblea Nacional Constituyente. Esto, por supuesto que cambia el panorama y aquí es donde viola la Constitución y el artículo # 4 haciendo caso omiso A LA ALTERNABILIDAD por parte de los 3 poderes del estado a la que tuvo que estar sujeta la decisión de publicar este artículo.

Estamos cansados de no ser escuchados HOY MAS QUE NUNCA DECIMOS TODOS LOS HONDUREÑOS JUNTOS…y hoy más que nunca gritamos a los 4 vientos que ¡APOYAMOS TOTALMENTE LO QUE OCURRIO EN EL PAIS Y APROBAMOS LA ACTITUDES DE LAS AUTORIDADES CIVILES Y MILITARES!
Dicen los políticos que el pueblo decide, decía Manuel Zelaya Rosales “SOLO EL PUEBLO ME PUEDE QUITAR DE LA PRESIDENCIA”, pues Señor Zelaya… ¡EL PUEBLO APRUEBA ESTO Y POR LO TANTO EL PUEBLO LO HA DEPUESTO DEL PODER QUE ALGUN DIA A OJOS CIEGOS MILES DE HONDUREÑOS LE DIERON PARA BUSCAR UN MEJOR AMANECER PARA LOS NUESTROS!
Nos cansamos de sus actos de corrupción que no terminaríamos hoy de contar, nos cansamos de su ABUSO DE AUTORIDAD, nos cansamos de su desinterés POR LA VERDADERA PROBLEMÁTICA DEL PAIS, nos cansamos de ser USADOS, ULTRAJADOS Y MAL INFORMADOS POR USTED Y LOS SUYOS… y OJO Señor Zelaya este pueblo es valiente y este pueblo defenderá a capa y espada las acciones tomadas hoy.
Concluimos pronunciándole al mundo que queremos que nos deje en paz, deseamos ansiosamente este nuevo amanecer en el país ¡UN AMANECER QUE NO TIENE COLORES POLITICOS, NI TIENE RELIGIONES, NI RAZA! lo único que busca este amanecer ¡ES DEFENDER UNA SOLA BANDERA, UN SOLO ESCUDO, Y LO HAREMOS JUNTOS COMO HERMANOS HONDUREÑOS QUE SOMOS!
VIVA HONDURAS, VIVAN LOS HONDUREÑOS QUE VIVA NUESTRA SOBERANIA
NADIE ESTA POR ENCIMA DE LA LEY NI SIQUIERA UN PRESIDENTE ESO DEJAMOS CLARO EL DIA DE AYER.

Zelaya, despite the court let him know that through his initiative, which was not just a question but a direct attempt to nullify our current constitution, he was committing an illegal act, ignored them and decided to continue with it. Specifically Zelaya violated article 375 which states that any attempt to nullify the current Constitution is to be declared as “treason to our country”. Based on article 321, 322, 323, and 324 which detail the actions to be taken with public servers who violate our laws, Zelaya was deposed, arrested and ousted from Honduras.

This has not been by any means a coup. This has been the implementation of our laws, and the succession by Micheletti the mechanismo of our Constitution.

Mr Zelaya was not removed from government because he was “just askindg the people a question”. He was removed because he wanted to dissolve the Congress and create a new constitution. This move would have allowed him to remain in power for an indefinite period of time.
This process mirrors what Hugo Chavez (Zelaya’s mentor) has done in Venezuela.
Zelaya had chosen to disobey the other branches of government and was acting constantly above the law.
I do not like how Zelaya was removed from office, but I believe it was necessary.

CNN has been reporting through a biased eye. The situation in Honduras, has not been presented as should by some media. Hondurans are thankful for the action taken by the military forces. Mel Zelaya wanted to go above the law. He wanted to do things his way, and change the constitution. He did not respect the congress, or the people. He did not hear opinions, and he was taking advantage of the ignorance of others. Zelaya was a president who was acting as told by other communist leaders, who have sank their countries into an asphyxiating rule in order to have infinite power. This should not be allowed and we are happy that us Honduras have served as an example , fighting for our freedom that wants to be taken away by such president.
