Great news! Any engine that can not be affected by a bird as large as a Canada goose is more than well equipped to handle a bird strike. Nevertheless, airports would be well served to install eco-friendly and humane bird deterrent products. They can eliminate bird roosting which will eliminate the spread of disease from droppings and limit the number of take off and landing bird strikes for less efficient planes.
